NYC Transit (2007)
Oh my word I love these! There's this sense of organized chaos in the way that she takes these immediately recognizable images, in this case maps of well known geographic regions (sometimes as focused as a single city, often a particular country, continent, group of various countries, etc.), and turns the formulaic into an impressionistic thing of beauty. This is not a sterile map interspersed with mileages or lone city names, but titles of places, places illustrated with craft and care and an obvious fondness for the lay of the land and what these places represent to an onlooker.
