- The imbalance of the striking red cross not only gives a visual representation of the title, but also conveys a deep sense of tension. Additionally, the ominous dark background seems to be enveloping the whole piece, meandering outward, following the red lines, making the whole affair seem foreboding and overwhelming... exactly the feeling it's shooting for, I'm sure.
